The Lincoln-Douglas Debate

Alton, Illinois was the site of the final debate between Senator Stephen A. Douglas and Abraham Lincoln on October 15th, 1858.
Bad picture, but Lincoln is on the right, and Douglas on the left. This was the actual site where they had their debate.
Had our ghost tour been 2 days earlier, we would have been standing there...146 years later, to the day!
